Mondawmin Mall, a pioneering urban shopping development when it was built 50 years ago, is about to be reborn.

Owner General Growth Properties will soon begin a major redevelopment that will add hundreds of thousands of square feet of new retail shopping, remodel existing space and reconfigure and improve parking, outdoor lighting and traffic flow. Added will be a popular, national-brand large format retail store, a new grocery store, a medium-format retail store and sit-down restaurants. Inside you’ll find new lighting in common areas, new flooring and seating areas, and spruced up entrances and storefronts.
